Industrial Painters needed in Alberta, Canada

Title of Position: Industrial Painter
Language Requirement(s): English
Hours (each week): 32
Work Experience: 3-5 years experience
Job Duties:

  • Select appropriate paint or mix paints using automated paintmixing equipment according to a pre-determined formula as perthe job requirement
  • Operate or tend equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, removecorrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application ofpaint, lacquer or other protective or decorative coatings
  • Operate or tend automated spray paint equipment or othermechanized painting or product coating application equipment
  • Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat stationaryitems or items on moving conveyor system with protective ordecorative coatings at times also in a confined space
  • Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paintbrushes/rollers
  • Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressedair and personal protective equipment in a safe manor
  • May prepare and apply stencils, computer-generated decals orother decorative items on finished products.

  • Previous experience with sandblasting
  • Able to work in a safe manor
  • Able to work in a confined space

  • Able to work outside in cold weather

Wage Offered: 27.50 – 30.00 CAD per hour
